And the way mechanically what happens when you buy space at Black Hat is you have to pay
Black Hat way in advance.
It's like tens of thousands of dollars for even a modest booth.
You give them, because of a lot of different reasons, large conventions and this sort of thing, do not want you bringing your own equipment because they charge.
What people used to do, and this was a lot of fun to watch, is Black Hat charged such exorbitant extortion costs to set up a TV with a tiny Raspberry Pi or a small computer attached to it so you could have a display.
They charged so much for that service.

You buy a brand new top-end OLED 80-inch TV, use it for two days, and then give it away and call it a tax write-off.
It was cheaper to do that than it was to pay Black Hat's AV team to deploy stuff.
And so they changed the rules that you can't bring your own shit anymore, you can only buy theirs, and that's another way they make money, is they charge you an arm and leg for renting the TV that you use for your demo.
And so a month or two before Black Hat that year, Norris basically.

All their equipment goes offline.
Their website is still up.
Anything that's on a subscription in the cloud or what have you will expire at some point and be offline when they fail to make their monthly payment.
But the founders disappear.
They literally took the VC's money and ran for the hills.
They robbed the investors.
The company folded, they were sued out of existence, and everyone was left asking questions like why, what the fuck?
What happened and nobody had details and everyone there were no details.
