The season's over, and they're going to be spectators for the conference championship games and the Super Bowl, and we'll see where everything goes from there.
But holy cow, it's just over.
It's just over.
Yeah.
I'll just echo the sentiments of Ben Johnson from the postgame.
He's expressed this for a couple months now.
He really felt that this particular group was very special in terms of their unity, their investment, their ability to get the most out of themselves and each other.
When we talk about every year is a little bit different, we can't promise anyone that the next group is going to be the same as this group was in that regard.
The Bears are going to try to build that again, but you do have to rebuild it because players will leave and new guys will come in.
You've got to recreate the cohesion and the chemistry.

as you sort of get this loss put behind you and reflect on who this year's team was, you're going to remember this as a special group that did some special things and made this city feel some really special emotions over the last four-plus months.
It sucks that it ends this way for so many people that were involved in it.
But just as Ben said, it was a good group to be around.
They unlocked a few doors here.
Now the key, obviously, as we've talked about forever, you've got to keep those doors unlocked before they slam shut on you like you're in some sort of haunted house.
I've got none.
It is, honestly.
It defies logic.
