A lot of Americans I've realized don't know what's, not what's funny, but like why they're laughing or they don't know like to wait for the punchline or something.
And I think it's because of this style that essentially the , the guy that corrects it, right, is the punchline.

Like they'll use the common guy, even at the Izakaya, just drinking, will use comedy lingo.
They'll be like, yeah, like, like that punchline was too fast.
Or like, like, like that, you need more of a setup, but it'll be common people that use this vocabulary.
So yeah, it's really interesting.

It's like the general person isn't sitting there like, okay, there's a setup where here comes the punchline, boom, I like it or I don't like it, where Japanese people can do that or they watch like that a lot of the times, like especially manzai or certain shows.
