Like I say, professionalism's a massive asset to us, I think.

There was a lot of chat last season about the leadership and all that sort of stuff.

And I feel like Harvey Elliott brings a lot of that.

We've got a squad out there who are basically a lot of under-21 players, other than those who weren't at the World Cup, such as Kerkez and Sobislai, Mahmoud Ashferli.

Jackie's quite young but you want an Elliott to sort of help the older players out and make sure they can get through it and make sure they understand what the standards are on pre-season.

I think Elliott's got a huge season ahead of him and what I want the club to do is take a gamble

and hang on to him for a season.

And if he has to go for free, that's fine.

You know, you might sell Harvey Elliott for sort of, you know, 15, 20 million.

But if you can get sort of 15, 20 million out of him in a season, that would be really interesting to me.

I think it might have just come out that Lloris, that the three injured players are going to go on the tour and they're going to do rehab in America.

Yeah, especially now that Gennady's gone, because we're still unsure whether we're going to be signing an extra centre-back.

So if we don't, Jackie has a huge role to play this season.

And we know that centre-back is a position that you can kind of rely on in terms of minutes to keep somebody on the pitch.

If they're pumping out 90s and they're fine, you don't tend to rotate that.

you know, the backup as well, with it being sort of, if it's Van Dijk and Xhaki, then it's probably gonna be Gomez as the backup.

I mean, we can't rely on his fitness too much, so Xhaki's got a huge tour.

You'd imagine that he'll get at least 45 minutes in that first game as they slowly build through.

And I just want to see his physicality, because he's had that shoulder injury.
