This is a transformation in warfare that is also, as we've already seen, going to force a wise American foreign policy elite.
Not sure we have the wise blob.
But imagine that we did to actually rethink basing.
These are structures, literal American bases.
A lot of these were bases that were taken over from the British Empire during World War II.
They are artifacts of a different age of warfare.
And the age of drone warfare literally sent a million drones to the Middle Eastern bases.
But it doesn't seem like the foreign policy establishment is rethinking those fundamental premises.
And again, this is imperialist realism, this notion that you really can't think on alternative world, which is the type of thing that could lead to violence.
