And I d actually there was just this article in the New York Times that was crazy about like um

d how like every every company is saying like we can't find qualified people and even though we have like fifteen hundred applicants for every job, um, and everybody who's searching for a job is like all of these requirements are completely out of whack and I don't even get a response from any of them, you know.

Uh it's this there's like this crazy mismatch and distortion in the labor market right now.

That's yeah, I mean

I mean, but I do think and there's also like these whole this whole like the got the ghost job posting stuff where it's like companies post a lot of fake jobs and um they are ingesting these applications with AI tools that are like it's it's a big problem.

And then it creates this like arms race where people are like, make resumes using AI that don't sound like they're made with AI.

I you know, it's just like this, it's very stupid.

So my whole thing was just like I want to go around that by just doing re places where I have a warm referral.

And when I did that in twenty twenty, um, which was a very scary time.

I was not I could not call myself a technical product manager.

And so a lot of PM roles were like, you understand the basics of programming.

And I was like, uh, it's not me.

So like I didn't apply for the vast majority of them.

Uh and then I eventually found Benti, which didn't require me to be technical at all.

This time around, um, I was like, Oh, interesting.

I can like apply now.

Now that I actually like write code and have like built AI tools and have like written code.

on client projects.

I can safely call myself a technical product manager.

Um and that opened some doors because then I was like, oh, also the like the work that I did at Laravel is relevant because like I've I've now also like worked on dev tools, you know, on a thing that was successful, which is really cool.
