Same deal here where like a several of the bigger companies I reached out to were just like, you haven't
ever worked at like a big company at scale.
You know, you've worked at like you've been successful at like seed stage series A, series B, but like why would we believe that you could do this?
Um and on my first call with the hiring manager at Datadog, um, he was a f former founder uh and had worked at only small companies until he worked at Datadog.
And I could tell he was like not totally into it for the first fifteen minutes of the call.
And then at at some point he kind of was like
Listen, John, I'm looking at the resume.
He's like
Like you tell me the version of this that makes sense.
Like make this make sense for me.
Cause like he's like, I can see a bunch of ways in which this doesn't make sense.
Like, and why, what where do your last three years fit into this story?
Is it because you like on on one way of looking at it is just like you've been running a consultancy, not being a PM?
And I was like, Oh, okay, I actually have been being a PM.
