Well, uh I I told you I had I had the direct discussion with uh Father Jose Gabriel Funes, who was the director uh of the papal observatory, you know, and he told me flat out, he said, you know, when we're talking about uh it as he as I mentioned, he was the one who was directed by Pope Benedict the Sixteenth to issue the public statement.
asserting that uh we were now going to be discovering uh life and intelligent life elsewhere.
Well uh life, they said.
We're going to be discovering life elsewhere in the universe.
Uh and when I went to talk to uh ho Father Jose Gabriel Funes, you know, directly as the former chief counsel for the Jesuit headquarters and their social ministry office.
He said right to me, he said, Dan.
You know, I've I've mentioned this before.
Dan, you know, when we're talking about the discovery of life elsewhere in the universe, we're not talking about just the discovery of some single-cell life form beneath some frozen sea uh on some distant moon orbiting some distant star in some far-off galaxy.
He said we're talking about another highly intelligent, highly technologically developed, but distinctly non-human species.
Right here in our Milky Way galaxy.
You know, uh and he was saying that authoritatively.
You know, so he obviously knew uh about this.
Uh I'm I'm sure that uh that Cardinal Peter Turksen has now been briefed in on a lot of this 'cause he's now the head of the Pontifical uh Commission on Science.
Uh so I'm sure that uh Peter's been uh uh l brought in on this.
Uh I I know I I believe that uh Johann
Who's the administrator of the archives, uh, and still is.
He's in that division that has to do with relations uh with other nation states on the part of the Vatican State.
I'm sure that he's aware of the fact that there's information in the archives about this phenomenon, you know.
Uh, and I'm uh I I don't I I don't think that it has pervaded
