Whether you call them MJ 12 or the Magic Group or whoever it was, it was clear that he undertook that step to do that because he had already done something like that before.

Uh Truman had, upon the recovery of the $1.2 trillion in gold bullion out of the Philippines in December of 1945 by Ed Lansdale, who was the U.S.

US Army G two there, when they they they recovered one point two trillion dollars in gold, bullion, and silver and platinum and in precious jewels.

And what Truman did when he found out about that is he set up a completely private group.

to handle that, never told Congress about it, never never made it available to the United States government in any kind of official way.

Uh he set up this other uh program going on.

So we know what his reaction is to some kind of extraordinary event like that.

So he set up this private group.

And they were each authorized uh to uh to handpick their own successor.

Uh and so those guys, assuming back in nineteen forty seven that they were like, you know, fifty years old.

These are, you know, high level ranking people.

We know generally who they were, but you know, they were in their fifties and some of them even in their sixties, you know, uh and therefore they had to pick a second generation.

to each of them replace that group.

So that's the group that would have been operational throughout the f late 50s and 60s and into the early 70s.

And now there's a uh in you know there's there's a a a few hangers on from that second generation.

Uh guys like you know like Admiral Bobby uh Bobby uh uh what's his name Bobby Reynman Bobby Bobby Reinman right uh in

Some of that uh World War Two generation of the younger people got in got selected in that.

For example, we we have reason to believe that uh Dick Cheney, when he became vice president, you know, uh under uh under Bush W.

Bush, that he ended up getting briefed in on this and he got made part of that group.

But the the reality is a lot of them are very, very m long in the tooth right now.
