Because the people, the the members of Congress inside the House Intelligence Committee and the House Armed Services Committee would do everything in their power to block it.
Because they're basically a lot of them in the pocket.

Uh and they they develop their relationships with them over time to the point where they view themselves as being protectors of those executive branch agencies.
And uh and so that uh that's that's why they haven't passed that law yet.
Uh but the fact is there there needs to be uh a major campaign nationwide to support the passage.
Of that particular 58-page bill that sets up an entire procedure pursuant to which the Congress of the United States takes control of the classification program.
and and uh and exonerates people from their national uh security agreement uh and or their nondisclosure agreement insofar as they can be authorized to come in and tell Congress.
about this, not necessarily in a public hearing to start with, but to tell the members of Congress.
That's what has to happen.
