So I say to them, look to Jesus, don't depend on yourself to try and stop because the more you look inward, the more sin will abound because you're trying to stop.
You're trying to do it in your power.
And Jesus says, Hey, no, look to me, depend on me.
God says, Jesus says, abide in me and I in you for he is the vine.

No, it has to be connected to the tree.
That's the only way we can truly bear fruit in our life and get rid of these cursed leaves, these rotten fruit of sin off of our life, not by trying to stop it, not by trying to produce good things, but by looking to the source of all good and all truth and all joy and
just freedom which is jesus and it sounds so simple but yet it's so complicated at the same time because we always want to have a part that's just our human nature but it's that's why every day it's a battle between our flesh and our spirits either look to jesus or try and do it on our own and jesus says just hey let me do it for you
Yeah, I did grow up in the church, but I didn't have a personable relationship with the Lord until I was 14, 15, no, 16.
About during COVID is when I started really diving deep.
And I say to people like this, if you want to learn more about Jesus, you want to deepen your relationship with him.
I say just
Who you are with the door closed is who you are.
So spend time with him by yourself because going to church, doing all these things with people, that's important.
Yes, of course.
But God really cares about who you are when it's just him and just you.
Cast all your cares to him.
Be, talk to him like a friend, even out loud.
It might seem kind of crazy because we're not talking to anyone physically, but he's right there and he's listening.
