I thought, you know, on the transport stuff, you know, like on Metro and all the rest, you kind of think that this government finally gets it in terms of what needs to happen.

The big question mark is whether or not they actually have the balls, to put it frankly, to kind of get it done.

Talk to me at the start, being a minister, what's your day like?

And I remember Michael Noonan saying it to me as well when he went into finance was, no, I kind of laid down the law early with my officials as to when I want my diary full or free to let me be in control.
