And you've got an occupant of of the White House at the moment who has zero appetite for any sort of regulation in this space.

So you're kind of wondering, are they coming out saying this stuff in the knowledge that it's a free hit almost that they can claim they want regulation knowing that it particularly w as long as Donald Trump is in the White House, there's not a chance in hell of any regulation coming in.

Like are they, you know, uh seeking to try and protect their their their dominant position in the marketplace?

we see I suppose the large criticism we had uh the AI minister New Smith here in the audience, but we we have seen criticism of the Irish government essentially taking a very hands off approach around big tech in terms of, you know, their impact on journalism and media and and other industries as well here.

Legitimate but I also think there's legitimate questions for government in terms of being able to keep up with that that advancement and that pace.

And I just don't see any political system being able to be that agile, that nimble.

Given he is a former Chancellor, it was a delight for me as a a political nerd to be able to uh kind of get into his views around British politics and uh even as a Conservative you can see that there there seems to be a an understanding that there's a fair win behind Andy Burnham at the moment to to to succeed.
