And lastly, I mean, his fitness as well, because one of the things that people don't really comment on a lot is that he's kept wicket most of the time that he's been scoring these 14,800-odd runs.

That means he's always in the game while they're fielding and then ends up going out to bat, often opening the batting.

I've got alongside me freelance cricket writer, a voracious reader of cricket books, and also a one-time housemate of mine for all of 10 days in Brisbane.
