So you have to scrutinize the person that you were at that time and treat that person, again, not better than anybody else, but not worse than anybody else.
This is the mistake that we make.
We treat ourselves worse than we treat other people, and we shouldn't do that.
Oh, Lord have mercy.
We have so many of those.
There are a lot of people who have those kinds of regrets.
And it is another case where our view of the world is distorted.
I actually, when I was younger, I actually cared what other people thought in a way that was probably not particularly healthy.
And then I actually discovered what people thought about me.
And it was this.
Nobody was thinking about me.
They were thinking about themselves.
No one was thinking about me.
And it's like what's in social psychology is called the spotlight effect.
We think that we're constantly in the spotlight.
Everybody's watching us.
And they're not.
So go do your thing.
