That's gonna be up and down emotionally.

Uh but if I have my identity rooted in like

The Lord, right?

What he thinks of me?

I can go in and be confident that I'm gonna show up, I'm gonna do my best, I'm gonna be myself.

And if people don't like me, you know, that's fine.

But but honestly, like, you know, you bring your authentic self and like you make friends, you attract the people that you actually want to be friends with and you actually wanna be in a relationship with.

And that bites you sometimes, you know, that that comes back to haunt you sometimes.

But I'd rather live a life like that than uh one that's going around pretending and acting like something I'm not.

You got after it.

I think um finished a Jim Collins book the other day and he talked about he had a whole section on luck and uh you gotta put yourself in a position to take on luck and to make the most of of luck.

And uh obviously like being born into the house how it was, like I gotta take advantage of that.

I can't waste that.

And in my sales roles, uh had plenty of

of things go my way and plenty of things not go my way.

And I could choose to respond like being a victim to things that didn't go my way and

grumble about it or I could say I'm gonna uh take advantage of the things that do go my way and I'm gonna work really hard to put myself in a position that when they happen and so so I can't I worked hard, but I also can't sit here and tell you like I'm the greatest salesperson in the world uh 'cause that isn't true either.

I'm very fortunate that like Dave, my father, has modeled this so well.

He's been so intentional with succession planning.

Uh, I stepped into a company where he already had a foundation of like what we talked about a moment ago, of stewardship, of saying, I don't own this, I am responsible for managing this.
