I'm moving you out because you didn't understand.
So I think it's a false narrative because I'm empathetic that I can't make tough decisions, but people that work alongside me know that's far from the truth.
Henrik and Daniel, you mentioned...
thinking about the job and being approached with a job in the process of thinking about moving into this new role.
You know, there's a lot of people that come before you, whether it's Jim and you've played for a lot of them.
Did you consult with, you know, guys like, even from way in the past, Mike or Brian Burke or Dave Nones or anybody like that about this kind of role, what it takes and what it means?
Henrik Daniel, are you able to walk us through?
you know, since there's no one on the dais sort of who was involved in the decision-making process that brings us to today, are you able to walk us through the last week from your experience in terms of making a final decision?
Were there interviews involved?
Were you involved in negotiations?
Can you just sort of walk us through like a timeline of the week and the decision-making processes and what you guys went through in terms of picking RJ here?
the growing cap and where your team is most likely positioned.
You'll compete hard, but we're not going to be, fans in the city aren't going to be going into next season expecting to watch playoff hockey.
Will you have the resources to spend to the cap, trade for bad contracts?
Will this team continue to function the way it usually has, as sort of a high revenue, big market team, even as you look to rebuild?
I would reiterate on that, that to establish what we need with our fan base, they need to see that there's growth and that the competitive, all the things that we're talking about are being delivered.
I think they'll be less focused on
the wins and losses and trust the process when they see that.
So to think that we need to spend to the cap to accomplish that, I don't think so.
I think we can be very strategic on the people that we bring in here, the messaging to the people that are here, I think we can improve substantially.
