Like I think Scaloni was like, Look, I want you to go on here and I want you to assert dominance and just show them that we're not going to be punked.
And so he just started pushing Omo over in front of the referee, like yellow card, who cares?
You know, so you know there's a thing with like in this it's not the same, but it's it's the flip side of it.
Where
People would hack the hell out of Shaq.
Like because he was so dominant in the paint when he was like three hundred and fifty pounds and no, the just the the physical nature that like other centers tried to guard him tried to guard him with, it created a game where Shaq was fouled so often.
But the calls wouldn't come because the referees would sit like if you guys are using this level of physicality with him, if we call the fouls that we would call for everyone else, then your whole front line would be fouled out.
So Shaq was Shaq had to face more abuse.
Because the referees were more lenient on those guarding him because there was understanding that bro, like what can you do with Shaq?
He's seven feet one, three hundred and thirty-five pounds and can run like a deer.
Like, how do you guard that?
So so the refs were a little bit more lenient.
Whereas if they called it like everyone else, then like six fouls on the bench, next one up, six fouls on the bench, and before you know it, like Shaq's being guarded by a six foot eight guy.
I feel like Argentina get like a similar effect on the opposition team.
Where it's like the referee goes into the game knowing that bro, Argentina are gonna bring a level of physicality that if I start giving yellow cards for cards that for fouls that otherwise would be yellow cards, uh
They're gonna give me no choice but to have two three red cards in a game.
So they get a benefit of physicality and kind of
aggressiveness that alters what the games are.
It's like they have a different whistle, which which shouldn't be the case.
No, it shouldn't be why what the hell no if it's a Val Carlo.
