Like how do you know โ if the goal is to be understood, how do you know when that's happened?
When โ
I love it.
So you're trying to figure out your artistry back then.
And then comes the second album.
Yeah.
With Attention.
Which is the anti-drop kind of.
Did you ever get a chance to implement jazz into the pop music you were writing with that album?
I've heard people talk about you and I don't know if you agree with this, but like the way and how talented you are come across as like a musical prodigy where it comes to like, whether that be like perfect pitch, whether that be like how quickly you're able to pick up songs based on memory.
A lot of people who are so talented and knowledgeable around music have a hard time coming up with simplicity in music.
How are you able to do that?
Like the melodic math, like Max Martin or like that camp is like very specific on the melodies.
I heard you talk previously about ranges of songs and how there's a certain range where both guys and girls can sing along to.
What is that range and do you ever think about that when you're making songs?
Yeah.
To me, those songs are kind of the ones that you listen to because they're so incredible at singing too versus the songs you'd sing along to.
Like Adele, you can sing along to certain songs, but then you wouldn't sing along to others.
What makes you feel?
Like feeling trumps anything else?
