He seems a bit nonchalant on the ball.
He'll take a touch and you can see a pass, maybe to the left or to the right.
He then turns back on himself and it's just like, I'm screaming at the TV, move the ball forward.
We've got one player in that team that gets the ball at feet and wants to drive with it and carry it.
And that's Mikey Moore.
The rest of the players just seem a bit too cautious on it.
I think anyone with half a footballing brain last night was watching that game and certainly I was looking at it thinking, Hearts are here for the taking in this first half, they've came out.
you know, we got the goal, they were a bit rattled and in my opinion, Rangers should have sensed that and went for the jugular and tried to kill the game before half-time because we all knew that Derek McInnes would put a rocket up the backsides of the Hearts players at half-time and then naturally they would come out, the fans would obviously get their backs up and start to get Tyne Castle a little bit rocking again which they did.
They get an early goal and then at that point, to be honest with you, the writing was on the wall and it's the writing that's been on the wall at Rangers for a long time which is just groundhog day.
You know, you look at it
As soon as he got that goal, I thought that's a game dead because the players go into their shell and Rangers over the last however many years now, I'm kind of getting to the point where I'm sort of losing track of how many years it's been bar that one COVID season where we had some success.
It's just like watching the same movie over and over and over again and expecting a different result.
So something fundamentally needs to change within Rangers Football Club regarding that because I think now the sense that I get from
you know fellow supporters friends family people that I go to the games with is that it's really reaching like a tipping point to be honest there needs to be some serious change Rangers are desperate absolute desperate for success
And just when you think you're getting a chance at it, same as most seasons, to be honest with you, you just kind of can see the way that it's going to play out.
Well, that actually brings me on to my next point, because this is all, of course, a matter of opinion, and this is just my own humble opinion, is that if we go back to Motherwell last week and we go back to Hearts last night,
I would say across the park, not in 100% of the areas, but probably 80% to 90% Rangers, in my opinion, have got better players across the park than both Motherwell and Hearts.
So what does that leave it down to?
It boils down to attitudes, desire, will to win, character, fight, determination, heart, all these things.
That's what it comes down to.
