The red wool dress and coat were the cut and look of many of the queen's choices in the later part of her life. Vivid color featured strongly. She wore the outfit on one of the most public days of the year, Christmas at Sandringham in 2015. A lot of them would have been double wool crepe.

The late queen had a distinct style. Comfortable, practical, British designed and often colourful. The exhibition included accessories and raincoats too. Each item tells a story.
