That one is way, way, way more challenging for this front office and this coaching staff to make than the Eloy Jimenez one.
There's no question about it.
Lenin Sosa has come in.
He's given them a little bit of life.
He's given them a bit of a jolt, just energy-wise.
I think what will ultimately perhaps tip the scales in favor of David Schneider is still the defensive versatility component.
That guy being able to play the outfield and also play the infield, whereas Lenine Sosa, as we've seen, yeah, he can bounce around on the infield.
But ultimately, if you're making that decision, it's for the explicit purpose of saying, all right, the bulk of his at bats or his appearances are going to happen at second base and first base.
Do we value that enough compared to Davis Schneider who can go and play the outfield and be a part of our platoon as we've seen historically with Davis Schneider and the Toronto Blue Jays?
So I think it is between those two guys.
I mean, boy, I wouldn't want to be in the room making that decision because I do feel like Lenine Sosa has done a lot of really good things.
I've liked what I've seen from Lenine Sosa in this limited sample size so far.
But ultimately, I think that one comes down to positional need and fit as well.
And maybe that's where David Schneider gets the benefit of the doubt and can stick around on this ball club in yet another.
He finds himself in these roster crunches all the time, it seems like.
And he's been able to come out on the other side on several different occasions.
I would imagine.
You know, it's right after the ballgame.
The question needs to be asked.
But, you know, tomorrow, I'm sure tomorrow ahead of the ballgame when he meets with the media, you'll get a little bit more clarity on the actual situation itself with Nathan Lucas.
