But uh until uh April the second it looks like we won't get much clarity.

But it'll be a mostly tariff free relationship until then.

The big issue of course is the impact it's having on the US dollar.

And that's that's tough for uh for uh businesses like yours, uh the Oilers and everyone else in the NHL who has to price a lot of their players in that in that higher

value a US dollar and you know, when you're trying to put a team together that can make things a little bit difficult for for Canadian teams.

I I think almost everybody I spoke with in Edmonton said that this was their priority.

There's actually a report that came out with Bills, the Downtown Revitalization Co Coalition, the Chamber, the Edmonton Downtown Business Association, NAIOP, as well as BOMA, Edmonton, all saying that if we're going to really tackle the issue of downtown revitalization, having an anchor project like this one was their top priority.

And so when we

We were w talking with the uh city of Edmonton, what we said to them is we wanna be ruthlessly fair between Calgary and Edmonton.

You may have noticed we managed to do some infrastructure investments to get them to the finish line on an event center construction in Calgary.

We said, What what what what do you think you need to get to the finish line on this project?

So we'll be able to do some of the infrastructure upgrades.

We've got to be uh paying for the demolition of the Coliseum and and we'll put and we'll kick in on building this new event space, which I

I think is going to be extraordinary in the number of events it's going to be able to attract downtown.

It's going to be able to keep that area r vital year round as opposed to just on game day and also help with the construction of I think about twenty five hundred new units so that we can get more people downtown so that uh we can keep that going.

So we're we're pretty excited that the team and the city were able to come to an agreement and that we were able to lend a hand to help get it to the finish.
