And part of what really inspired this podcast, too, is specifically I was listening to a lot of true crime stuff. And don't get me wrong. I love true crime. But I was noticing this narrative that I was really getting tired of. And that was that women are victims. Mm-hmm. Every time I tune into a true crime episode, you know, women are the victims of something.
and filled it with sand and like dressed the bottle to look like this person. And the person was Amelia Earhart. And I did her life story and. touched upon her disappearance and all of that. And that really got me interested in more of like, I guess, just like the mystery of the unknown, of like what happened to this person. There's so many theories. There's so many different explanations.

And I was getting really tired of that narrative because women are so much more than that. You know, we're not just victims of circumstance or crimes or whatever that may be. Women are strong. They're smart. They're intelligent. They can get things done and they do and have. And unfortunately, throughout history, sometimes that's not remembered or acknowledged at all.

And I think that really opened my eyes to we don't know what happened to a lot of people throughout history, or there's a lot of questions surrounding certain events and they're still open for discussion. And I think that was really my first introduction to that type of thing.

And I was just, because up until that point, you're like, every question has an answer and here's how you get to that answer. And then that story and learning about her life and especially the end of it, I was like, wait, we don't have all the answers. So that means there's still more to learn. And I really love that.

We're going to dive into all of it, no matter what it is. And today, we're really excited because this particularly has been a story that has been on our list of how we could get this onto National Bark After Dark, which was just never going to happen, but has been in our mind and we've been wanting to cover. And this is a mix of empowering women and also some darker things. So
