So Cookie LT, who in both versions thinks the trip is a failure, goes home to Massachusetts in May of 1983, dejected, and by his own account, he's done with trying to make it as a drug trafficker.

Newton has lined up a small boat on the coast of Pakistan to take it out to the anchored freighter, and Kukielsky takes it out with the product to the rendezvous himself.
He watches the load go aboard, ten tons or more of hash packed into tire inner tubes, and then Kukielsky personally charts the freighter's course to America.
