Honestly, it's surprising Brazil wasn't a major player decades ago, but that has to do with the European market, which we're going to get to in a second.
So Brazil doesn't grow the coca.
What Brazil has is everything that comes after.
It sits right next door to all the supply.
And on the other side, it has thousands of miles of Atlantic coastline pointed directly at Europe and West Africa.
and some of the busiest container ports in the Southern Hemisphere.
Brazil is the bridge.
Peru, Colombia, and Bolivia through Brazil to Antwerp, Rotterdam, Lisbon, maybe some stopovers across that sort of Northwest African coastline like Equatorial Guinea.
You guys know this stuff.
We've talked a lot about how West Africa became this transshipment point and a lot about all the crazy gang control and coke moving through Rotterdam and Antwerp.
It's got to come from somewhere, right?
And Brazil is that place.
And someone's got to set up those logistics.
Now, the crown jewel, the place that makes the whole thing hum, is the port of Santos in Sao Paulo state.
Santos is the biggest port, the busiest port in Latin America.
We're talking around 150 million tons of cargo a year, something like 7,000 containers moving every single day, connections to 600 plus ports in over 125 countries.
