She was wearing an old-style nightdress.
It had ruffles around the neck and around the sleeves.
And I was a little bit shocked, so I started to say, you know, what are you doing up there?
And she just faded away like she was made of mist.
So hold on, she disappeared in front of your eyes?
Yeah, yeah.
It was like she was solid and all of a sudden she became opaque and then just faded away.
Are you sure this wasn't a patient?
Absolutely sure, because I went back down to the ward and all the patients were still in bed.
And because it was a rehabilitation ward, none of the patients could get out of bed unaided.
Did you think that people would think you were crazy?
Yeah, absolutely.
I also needed my paperwork signed off to pass the placement as well.
So I didn't want to make waves.
So I actually kept quiet about it.
I qualified and I've done many jobs as a nurse between now and then but four years ago my job changed and I moved back to the building that this ward used to be on and the majority had been converted into offices.
My office was on the first floor at the opposite end of the corridor from where I saw the lady.
But as soon as we moved into the office, things started happening.
Things like the whole corridor had motion-censored lights along there.
And in the evening times when it was dark, sometimes you would hear the footsteps and the lights would come on.
