I came in as transport minister.
I said, we're going to do this.
We backed this with funding for the first time ever.
It's out to tender and we're going to start building Metro next year.
And we're investing in our rail and public transport like we've never done before.
Well, we're going to start it next year.
So you're looking at about an eight year build.
So that's what you're looking at.
So 2035.
So that's not quite generational.
I get that.
I was there.
I was a councillor at the time.
Other governments mothballed the project for 10 years and we've gone on and we're going on to do it.
No, not at all.
And we've a really good management team there.
Sean's done a great job, brought the project through planning.
We've a clean planning permission.
We've our first tender out and actually preparatory work has already started out in the North Dublin area.
But we're accelerating our progress.
