That winter system is causing problems from the deep south to New England.

Here in Boston, we are preparing for the worst of it.

We are under a snow emergency, which means they want people to get off of the roads.

Fox's Brian Yenis says Boston and other parts of Massachusetts could get up to two feet of snow.

But the snow isn't the biggest danger.

The bitter cold has turned deadly in Austin, Texas and in New York City.

For those without shelter, the intense cold can be fatal.

Yesterday alone, before the snow had even begun to come down, at least five New Yorkers passed away and were found outside.

The storm has also closed New York's LaGuardia Airport until further notice as airlines across the U.S.
