What do you generally make of Fiona players, particularly our kind of superstar players, your Eferwafers, your Kelowna, Maloney, McDonalds, what do you make of them going over abroad?
Is that generally a good thing for Irish rugby?
Obviously they're playing a higher standard once they go over and they can come back into the national team and make an impact.
But we're losing those players.
Like you do need to adapt because there at some point, and I think it is happening, our talent will supersede our current club system.
You know, there's no reason for Anifa Waifer to stay in the country.
Like if she can go and she's captain of Harlequins now, which is one of the best teams in England.
But they're they're a storied club and she's already captain after one season.
So you can't expect players of that quality and of that stature to hang around too long in this current system.

I was actually planning on asking you at some point about his fitness and how he's getting on.
He obviously missed that summer tour, but good to hear that he's back training, back fit.

like I heard you talking there with Kate just a few minutes ago about this tournament just essentially replacing what was already there and just slapped a name and a trophy on it so I don't know if the players feel too much of a difference but from my perspective looking in anyway like the 20th of June 2025 was the first Lions game last year against Argentina in Dublin
straight rugby because off the back of the Lions tour you're probably looking at two maybe three weeks and then you're back into training camp again for those players that are involved with their clubs then you go into pre-season then you're back into URC and then Champions Cup is starting or Challenge Cup and then you know international start there in November and then in February with the Six Nations so it is it looks like non-stop rugby and
