It absolutely is that.

And Williams had their troubles, of course.

And I guess the reason the team was up for sale and Claire was on record at the time saying,

COVID hit and they needed to race to keep going.

And obviously there was no racing.

So was this a bit of a fire sale that you were involved in?

And you said there wasn't that many other people involved.

Was it a difficult bidding process or did you very quickly become the primary bidders?

I think that's a really important point, the fact that the cost cap has completely changed the economics of the sport, hasn't it?

And if I recall correctly, you announced that you'd bought Williams three days after the cost cap was finalised in the Concord Agreement.

If that hadn't happened, you don't buy Williams?

And just for those that might not understand the economics of that, just explain a little bit about what the cost cap means to a business model like someone at Williams that isn't the Ferrari, the Red Bull, that have got funding from elsewhere within the group.

So one of the reasons you bought Williams now is actually working against you.

It's seemingly unfair.

As you say, you've got that historic sunk investment that sat elsewhere.

You can't then catch up.

and i think the cost cap does enable that whether we can truly shake up the order we'll see back to 2020 how were those discussions with the williams family it must have been quite emotional for them you know the business has been in existence all these years we see the heritage around us here of that team suddenly they've got to try and keep the team going you're one of the options there how were those discussions between claire and frank and the rest of the family

I understand you gave her the option of staying on within the business and she turned that down.

It seems like you genuinely take that responsibility of keeping the family name and the family business, if you like,

intact in that way quite seriously?
