My father was the first person to to call me the F word.

And uh it it doesn't rhyme with truck, let me tell you that.

And I didn't know what that was.

And then kids at school started calling me that.

And I was called gay before I even knew what gay was.

So being magical.

Being a fan of Michael Jackson, being a fan of Steven Spielberg, being the same age as the kid that played Elliot in E.T., that's how I chose to put on a magic cloak.

And I I just thought, I'm gonna get out of this town one day.

I'm gonna be special.

I'm covered in glitter.

Everywhere I walk, it's glitter.

I remember even looking at concrete with my mum in a place called Stone's Corner.

in Queensland in Brisbane and she would teach me to look for the little pieces of what I now realize are little bits of quartz, but they glittered and she pointed that out to me so I would just see magic everywhere even though I was honestly surrounded by a horror.
