I want to leave that impression because I had in my hands the responsibility, and a lot of these people were young women too, who were really struggling with being a teenager.

position.
A lot of my speeches at the time on stage, I would get criticized for being too earnest.
Now it's just
cool just being a decent human being.
But I would talk about um self esteem.
An image.
Because I was struggling so much with my own.
I hated what I saw in the mirror.
Truthfully, I didn't like my sexuality.
And yet these people, these beautiful fans, would just tell me, no, you're beautiful.
This audience, I almost feel like it's derogatory to call them fans.
They feel like mirrors.
You know, like it felt like a reflection of me.
And I had so much compassion in these kids that had braces, that had acne.
I was there.
felt that, you know, I was covering up my acne with like, I don't know what the max shade was, but it was too light.
