And it's because the people are being held together by something that is really inorganic.
And for that to persist over time, you can organize a group according to two principles, right?
One is that there's something inside the group, inside the people that pulls them together, or they can be packed in from the outside because external forces are preventing you from escaping.
it's one of the reasons that you see for example so many cults organized crime elements as well one of the first things that they'll do as part of initiation is get you to do something that you can't take back yeah because now it's a lot harder for you to uh make your way back into mainstream society um with the expectation that you're going to be forgiven for that right and from an internal standpoint um
It lets you know that I can probably trust the person next to me because we're both similarly guilty, you know, that kind of thing.
So it does lead to in-group cohesion, but it leads to an in-group cohesion that makes conflict with external elements basically inevitable.

Christian civilization and Islamic civilization are different things with their own geographic spheres.
It's definitely a situation, I think, where, what do they say?
Strong fences make for good neighbors kind of thing, right?
We should have our own spheres.
I think it would be deleterious for any European Christian country to acquire a Muslim population past a certain threshold where it becomes a culturally separate thing.
