There's geostrategic and other purposes it serves, but on individual psychological level and as far as our own domestic policy and societies, it's so powerful.

yeah literally the result sure and you and and again to go back to the internal migrations in the 20th century after the second world war like in the united states in the way that
the internal migrations were used to break up these traditional Catholic parish communities in city after city after city around the country.
And done so, I mean, we know this from documentation, you know, that this was something that they knew what they were doing.
They knew they were breaking up these communities that they saw as pools of like insularity, these black boxes that the system itself couldn't really see into and didn't exactly know what was going on.
But this was a national push.
I mean, this didn't just happen in New York City.
It happened everywhere.
And when you realize that...
When you start to see that, and then you start to see what's going on in Europe and now in United States as well, and you recognize that these are weapons that are being wielded against us.
They're not something that, it's not happenstance.
It's not something that's being done because- The labor markets demand it.
Yeah, or because we've just sort of, you know, there were certain Cold War strategic imperatives that led to the promulgation of certain propaganda that maybe made some sense at the time, that it just outlived its usefulness and is sort of going along on its own power at this point, that this is a weapon that's being used against these countries on purpose.
Because, I mean, you know, there's a great little book by a French author, Jacques Ellul.
He wrote a bunch of great books, but he wrote one on propaganda.
how it functions and he has this great section in there on how um it seems like at first blush that a mass society and individualism are somehow like you know that that's oil and water that those are two completely different things when in fact they're the same thing because when you break up say those parish communities and you drive everybody out to the suburbs
everybody's living within their own fence line now they're not living in a community they're living in their own fence line they maybe don't even know their neighbors names you have all of these people who are completely isolated and easily homogenized over time and um you know they lose their distinctiveness and become and melt into a part of a a mass that you can now propagandize on a mass level in in a way that you think about it like uh
If you lived in a parish community back in the 1920s in the United States, if you lived in an Irish parish community in New York City and the government was, or the culture, whatever outside force it is, is trying to propagandize you in a given way that your grandfather and your priest and the elders in your community that everybody respects are all telling you is not true, you're not going to believe that.
