You know, I spent time working with the guys at Bahrain. podcast-host

I spent time working with just all over the place, seven, eight months. podcast-host

And I come back and they're gonna have uh a sort of a town hall, right? podcast-host

Where the commanding officer and the technical director sit up front and they want everybody's, you know, concerns their opinions, like what's going on out in the fleet, da da da da. podcast-host

And I would always be the guy who'd raise my hand. podcast-host

And as soon as I did, all of my like immediate supervisors and like one level up were just like, Oh god. podcast-host

Like they were like, here we go again. podcast-host

And I would start telling them what I was seeing out there. podcast-host

And telling them the absolute truth. podcast-host

And everybody in the room who had any experience out in the field knew I was telling telling the truth. podcast-host

And the technical director and the commanding officer, to their credit, they always wanted to hear it. podcast-host

But it got to the point where podcast-host

Or at least they in in in the meeting, they they you know, they they wanted to hear it. podcast-host

But it got to the point where like literally my command would find other things for me to do to send me off to go do so that I would not be at these town halls. podcast-host

And you know, just that process of sort of passing negative information up the chain of command. podcast-host

Um being the bearer of bad news. podcast-host

Um it it really I uh here you want an extreme example? podcast-host

Here's this is an extreme example, but um I was I was on a s uh assigned to a strike group back in I think twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen. podcast-host

You know, there's uh I think there are three destroyers, a cruiser, and then the carrier, and then some support ships and stuff. podcast-host

And so I'm out there mainly to um work with the four air defense platforms, the destroyers and and the cruiser. podcast-host
