when that missile, that Iraqi missile hit it back in eighty three and it went in, you know, near the front of the ship and the warhead did not even explode, but the fuel on the missile started to fire and that thing was disabled.

And it's, you know, you have these systems that you we build in redundancy to the systems and all that kind of stuff as best we can.

But everybody knows they all have a lot of single points of failure.

And when you're talking about um, you know, catastrophic damage on like the platform level.

Some one like set one or more of those single points of failure is gonna get triggered.

And then you very quickly you end up with this super complex system that just doesn't work because there's a fiber optic cable that's not hooking up right somewhere.

And yeah, when you when you think about something like our layered air defense systems.

Where, you know, you take out an early warning system and now the ballistic missile defense systems behind it like have a lot of trouble acquiring targets in time to, you know, strike 'em at the ideal moment.

I mean, the whole thing kind of breaks down very quickly, you know?
