I do think that the standards need to be reviewed, especially because it's so hard to sue a newspaper, even if they lie about you.
If you're a public figure, you've got to prove something more.
You've got to prove a reckless disregard for the truth.
You've got to prove malice.
And that's really hard to do.
So, no, I don't think it has a chance.
