You know, Mark, you, me.

Like, it never, that list never ends.

And we've seen that with Pol Pot and Stalin and Mao.

And, you know, we could go back through political movements, going back to ancient Rome on that.

And

I don't know if it's that people who forget history are doomed to repeat it or if these people are so wrapped up in their own self-righteousness that they've decided that if they do it and their intentions are pure, therefore murder, the worst thing that any human being can do throughout history, is somehow okay.

And I still haven't wrapped my head around it.

I'm still working on getting through the Luigi Mangione stuff for the same reason.

But but you're right, Megan.

This is one of the other things about the conspiracy stuff that bothers me is that it's distracting from the real discussion that I think we need to be having as a country.

And that is this can't be our future.

You're going to hear about it.

You know when you'll hear about it in the penalty phase and it'll come from the defense.

There's somebody right now dedicated to just that focus who's handling the second chair, as we call it, who's looking for everyone who ever said God bless you to any good deed he's ever done.

And they'll throw in there things like he surrendered.

He allegedly felt sorry for what he had done and wished he didn't do it.

And I know you think it's crap, but those facts in that environment may fuel one juror in believing, well, okay, then the scales tip in favor towards mitigation, I'll let them live.

And that to me is the challenge for prosecutors because anything other than death, people will deem this a failure.

You know who will care?

Jurors.
