That's a festival moment.

Get in, get early, get up the front if you can.

I'm not loving the main stage this year, I will say.

Although that said, and I'm not the biggest Fontaines fan in the world, it is a hell of a time to catch them.

And they are in fact headlining on the Sunday.

And again,

I'm like John.

If I go to the festivals, I like to kind of just bop around, find different things.

Sometimes I'm reviewing it, so I gotta go check out certain stuff.

But you will often find and there's so many stages at these festivals, you'll often find the gems hidden away in the corner somewhere, and that can actually be better for you than the advertised main event on a Friday night.

I think it's late stage capitalism and I think y if you look at festivals in particular like the picnic which has just gotten bigger and bigger and bigger, what's the capacity for this now?

Eighty thousand, I think it isn't it?

I mean it's a far cry from where it was all those years ago.

And on the one hand you're saying, what an incredible success story, and on the other hand you're saying

kind of miss when it was just a few vendors and a few stages and a few gigs and I you didn't have to break the bank too much.

But the reality is, if you're going to a behemoth like this, or Glastonbury or any of the massive ones that you see across the summer,

You're going to take the hit on the wallet.

Th there's just no way around it.

Like I'm going to Deftones and Idols later on tonight at Imma and I'm sure the beer that I'm gonna get will not be cheap.

I know it won't be, but I'm gonna get one anyway.
