I've got friends everywhere because they support the work.

You know, they're not worried about the political stuff.

But how can we activate the people who don't vote to get out and vote?

You know what you guys need to do, and I've told you this last time, is if you want to solve these issues that are going on in our communities, you must support directly community groups.

Yep.

And not like the big groups that are basically mini bureaucracies, mini governments that only give a little trickle by the time it gets down to the groups.

And then it's a tick box.

Yet we support a Pasifika, we support a Māori, we support this big group over here.

But only a little bit gets down to the bottom of the people actually doing the work.

You know, let's get down there, work with groups like us that are doing the work with next to nothing.

All we're doing is we're constantly applying for grants.

and say go and do that figure out the best way of doing that for those families because it's not going to be a one-size-fits-all model all those families need different things depending on their circumstances yeah how do we know like you know because we're getting up to the season where the politicians are going to be promising everything how do we know that you know how can we keep your the labour party or whoever accountable you know to these promises that are about to all be made

Yeah.
