The Senate is expected to vote today on a war powers resolution that seeks to limit President Trump's ability to carry out U.S.

military operations against Iran.

It's unclear if a resolution would pass in either the House or Senate.

NPR's Claudio Grisales reports on what Senate Majority Leader John Thune is saying about the ongoing U.S.

and Israeli attacks.

The U.S.

and Israel struck multiple targets in Iran again today, including ones in the capital, Tehran.

Iran has sent drones and missiles into Israel.

In Texas, State Representative James Tallarico has been declared the winner over Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett in the state's Democratic Senate primary.

Tallarico will face the winner of a Republican primary runoff between incumbent Republican Senator John Cornyn and the state's Attorney General Ken Paxton in November.

In North Carolina's Senate primary, the state's former governor, Democrat Roy Cooper, will face off against the former chair of the Republican National Committee, Michael Watley, in November's general election.

The Associated Press called the race for Cooper and Watley in each party's primary.

Cooper and Watley are seeking the Senate seat currently held by Republican Tom Tillis.

He's not seeking re-election.
