Um it was you you arrive we it was um I was with the um the Bea Morris Athletics Club, which no longer exists.
I was a foundation member of it.
Started when I was twelve.
And in our first year there we of the club, we uh the club um captain, he was
The president, but he was the guy who started the club.
Um, he was a camper and they used to go to Wilson's Promontory a lot.
And so
And so
About thirty of us went camping down there and I was a kid and went down with them, so um so there's a whole bunch of us a between the ages of twelve and forty.
Um that you know went down and so arrived there and so it was an experience getting there.
You're twelve years old and you're in somebody else's car and you got your mates with you and you're rattling around in the back of the car, you get there at night and all you hear is the surf.
Yeah.
And then you're gonna you know, well we've got to pick up the city.
Yeah, and then you know, then the next morning you run around and you go down to the beach and you're holy shit.
Norman Bay Beach is incredible.
How many kil is it like one or two kilometers?
It's about a kilomet kilometer, but but because it's got mountains around you on either side, yeah.
On either side, and these huge granite boulders and stuff, it's it doesn't look that big.
And so you look at it and go, the first time we were there, we got you know got there and went
