He's in business with The Rock, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, stars everywhere.
He's part of the consortium that bought Paramount.
He said FSG is the only entity he would be a junior partner in because of the way they operate.
So I think that they have that reputation within smart, savvy investors that not many of their investments go south and they have a particular way of operating.
They're uber professional.
And I think that chimes with the likes of Anit Bhatia and Lakshmi Mittal, etc., who are...
very, very serious, reputable businessmen with diverse portfolios.
And FSG isn't just sport either.
They have myriad other investments, real estate, etc.
So maybe there is some crossover with that side of FSG's business.
But I don't think FSG will take their hands off the wheel in terms of control.
I think when that happens, we'll be the time they divest completely because they will no longer be
really in total control of an asset which they've built and they've kind of generated the value from.
I think so.
I also think that I spoke to a friend of mine a couple of months back, works in the US and is involved in club transactions, kind of matchmaking transactions with rich individuals and football clubs.
He says he doesn't understand the investment thesis for the most part anymore.
He said, save for the major assets, the major blue-chip football clubs, Liverpool, Manchester United, etc.
He said that it's hard to see where you create more value from, especially on the continent.
So I think the multi-club failure or the abandonment of that plan for now, Michael Edwards has brought in with that very specific task in mind.
