yikes yeah you eventually gotta pull the plug when the numbers are low huh no jimmy numbers weren't low literally no one was listening our producer checked the stats for the first time since the inception of the podcast and we didn't have a single stream or download ouch and the cnn podcast empire
Oh, that aggressively did not happen.
Well, since the end of my former podcast, The Axe Files with David Axelrod, on the former CNN podcast channel, I've basically been going around inserting myself into various political programs
offering my astute, one-of-a-kind political analysis, whether people want it or not.
Jimmy, we just saw a really riveting primary season.
A lot of surprises, a lot of ups and downs.
If it made any sense at all in this context, I'd say a raucous caucus, but that didn't happen, Jimmy.
There was no caucus, neither raucous nor sedate.
But I think the real headline here is Graham Plattner's victory in Maine.
Graham Platner, yeah, that's the real axe takeaway here.
That's a little trademark that I'm trying to make a thing, but let's be honest, that probably won't happen either.
The point is, Platner's victory was a real wow moment.
Nobody really saw this coming.
Jimmy, given how scandal plagued he had mysteriously become in the past three weeks, a lot of us in the political class had written off his as a lost cause.
