So it would be, first of all, it's a Zelle.
This is a Zelle only thing.
The banks can't solve everyone else's problems.
And it would be people who fall victim of this scam where you think you're sending money to one place and it's kind of like hijacked.
It's sent somewhere else.
This does not include people who fall victim to fraud or scams where you buy something from someone or think you're buying something from someone and you never get the product.
It also wouldn't solve if I try to send it to you, J.R., and I send it to J.T.

If you make a typo, if you authorize a payment to someone, you still are required to own that payment unless it doesn't go where you think it's going.
Spelling counts.
And this is the thing about these things.
One reason why fraud has been so prevalent on them and why scammers have zeroed in on them is the instantaneous payments here.
It's not like on a credit card or a check where 24 hours later you can be like, hey, wait a second.
That doesn't seem right to me anymore.
I'm going to ask the bank to stop that.
Once you send it, it's gone.
It's just like handing someone $20 bills.
The bank can't repay you $20 bill you hand to someone if you make a mistake.
It can refund you if you've been defrauded.
Well, they do have to follow – there are laws about some of those protections, right?
