him and what it will do, not just in terms of his uh his health and his uh exercise, but in terms of academics, that actually there's a an added benefit to him to continue sports.
And so that might be the thing that helps him then keep that balance.
Because I think the mum's right, it is great for kids to try and keep a bit of balance and and you know too much of anything becomes a bad thing.
So if he does get, you know, down this rabbit hole of that all he can do is work and study, um, then you know he probably will
you know, come to struggle more.
He might, you know, you know, miss some things socially as as well.
He might.
So

Although I think y when certainly my view would be, you know, first year is really about that transition and and of course you don't want your son or daughter to fall behind immediately academically.
But I think if they can keep up even just with um, you know, the core of their homework, that's plenty for first year.
You know, they don't need to be doing any extra studies.
So again, I think it's always just about acknowledging that, you know, when there's a lot going on, what
most young people would probably want to do is just to simplify.
And so simplifying sometimes means cutting things out or just focusing on one thing.
And and that's the challenge I think for us as parents is just to stick with them and help them recognize look, this is just a bit tough.
It's just hard to settle in.
It's just hard to get used to everything.
Give it time.
