So they called another trumpet player.

He'd already left the building and then he comes back and then like, you know, the audience sees him entering the stage late.

And so they started applauding for him.

Like, Hey, nice job.

Even though this was the fill in, this wasn't, it wasn't his fault.

Yeah.

So they end up clapping for this guy and he takes a bow, right?

You know, to like ham it up.

And then he walks off stage again.

Everyone laughs, right?

And then he comes back with his music and then they start applauding him again.

And then the conductor makes an announcement saying like, hey, like, you know, just so you know, something happened and this guy's filling in, but he's like, you know, doing this with no rehearsal.

And then I saw him sit there like during the first half, he's like looking over his part, you know, like, so he doesn't have to sight read and there's a giant trumpet solo.

Yeah.

and it's coming up it's fast and it's like really like you know just out there right it's like a really it's not like you know does he wing it or does he nail it dude he beyond nails it he nailed it so like so much my jaw was on the floor i was like this sounds better than the concert the day before where the you know where the player had actually you know must be the adrenaline you know it was the adrenaline and so dude i remember calling him on his way home and just being like

That was incredible.

And he was like, yeah, that's what we do.

You know, it's like, you know, just coming in, sight reading and nailing this Shostakovich symphony to the wall, right?

Like, it was awesome.

I was talking to someone the other day during the commercial break and he's like, I don't know how you do this for two hours every day.
