I turned and gave him a smile.
The truth was Howard did not look tired at all.
His straight, brown hair was still neatly parted toward the left side of his face.
On a bad day, the top of his head tended to resemble the frilly nature of our carpet.
Likewise, the suit and tie that I had picked out for him were still unwrinkled on his slender frame.
The tie usually didn't make it to the door before being removed.
