Yeah, absolutely.
Producer in me is just looking at this tragedy just being like, how could we have salvaged it?
Do you know if her sanctuaries, how long it went on?
Did it evolve into something else?
Still operating?
There's a number of them in Southern Cal.
A lot of really well-intentioned, ecologically sound, wonderful organizations.
In fact, I just, for my daughter's birthday, there's a really great one in Sylmar.
We went to visit and the thing that is so annoying and frustrating to me is at this point with the information age that we live in there are still so many people both people of wealth and Otherwise, it doesn't really matter but often it is people of privilege who think like well I know the rules are such-and-such but I can get a thing because I've got the resources to keep this thing and they get these eggs and this place is
as fun as it was for me and my daughter and her friends to see these wonderful animals,
they do tell you how they acquired them.
And then you're just like, oh dear, geez, like this beautiful big alligator that was basically spent all of its life in a bathtub until it was rescued and brought to this place.
It's crazy.
